After arriving back in Vietnam, Geert visited the Khe Sanh marine corps base, and followed Highway 9 to the coast where he visited a civilian tunnel complex. He then rode South, visited many war cemeteries. NVA, Vietcong, ARVN. Yet no Americans, whose bodies that were found were all flown home.

From Danang, and later again from Nha Trang, he climbed back into the highlands and rode the Ho Chi Minh Highway to Kontum and later to the old French colonial town of Dalat. Then, he went back down again to the coast and finally ended his ride back in Ho Chi Minh City, the old Saigon
