“Hiking through the gorges is a feast of high concentration, falling, jumping, and hand, feet [and knee] work. This is the Australian Outback wilderness at its most beautiful”
In Ormiston Gorge
This was the end of Geert’s first hike on the Larapinta Trail. After getting up early, he was alone in the gorge as the sun rose, and observed this large stork sitting at the side of the rocks, and watched it cruising over the water in the gorge, looking for a catch.
A minibus took him back to Alice Springs
